Lowther Pavilion · Lytham St AnnesCinema

This Halloween season see's Lowther's Cinema Club playing two all time classic horror films from two directors at the top of their scare game! Watch one, or watch both and save £2! The Fog (15) 7.30pm 1980 90mins Directed by John Carpenter, the 1980 horror classic The Fog follows the coastal California town of Antonio Bay as it prepares for its centennial. The celebration is interrupted when a supernatural, glowing fog rolls in, carrying the vengeful ghosts of leper sailors who were betrayed and murdered by the town's founders 100 years prior. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Adrienne Barbeau. "Bolt your doors. Lock your windows. There's something in The Fog!" Followed by Suspiria (18) 9.30pm 1977 98mins Considered the most famous Italian horror film of all time for its vivid, groundbreaking style and jaw-dropping bloodshed, now, to celebrate SUSPIRIAs Fortieth Anniversary, CultFilms is proud to terrify audiences once again with the dazzling 4K restoration of Dario Argento's groundbreaking horror masterpiece. Starring Jessica Harper, Stefania Casini, Flavio Bucci, Miguel Bosé. Ballet student Suzy Bannion arrives at a prestigious dance academy in Freiburg, a school plagued by gruesome and supernatural happenings. Soon students begin to die in horrific circumstances is Suzy next, and can she uncover the academys sinister secret before its too late? Argento carved a Baroque Expressionist nightmare, saturated with expressionist colours and punctuated by shocking violence. His monumental, epoch-making cinema-redefining visual and aural assault on the senses has become the reference by which all horror genre is measured and its creator, director Dario Argento can now truly be seen as one of the important artists of the 20th century. Now finally presented for the 1st time ever according to the directors original vision: the 4K scan was restored painstakingly by the applauded TLE Films (who did the Clint Eastwood Dollar Trilogy among others) with that crucially distinct colour palette reinstated in accordance with Argentos original specification. "Once you've see it, you will never again feel safe in the dark"

Ages 15+ TBC Sparkling, dizzying, and deliciously potent, Fallen Angels, Noël Coward’s champagne-fresh comedy of bad manners, shocked and delighted audiences at its 1925 premiere. Woofers comedy club is back! Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep here on the Fylde Coast. Hosted by our very own regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun! Headlining this month we have the fabulous Stephen Bailey. As well as being a prominent Headliner on the UK comedy circuit, he has also supported the biggest names in stand-up, including Micky Flanagan on his arena tour, Lucy Beaumont, Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Sarah Millican. Known for being a proud northern, working class, gay man, his brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats. As well as boasting over 100k followers on Instagram after one of his videos was shared by none other than Melissa McCarthy. 2025 has been a huge success for Stephen with appearances on several primetime shows including BBC One’s Blankety Blank & The Celebrity Inner Circle, ITV’s Sorry I Didn’t Know, Channel 5’s Celebrity Puzzling & Sally Lindsay’s Big Christmas Quiz. He also filmed for Comic Relief x Morning Live. Audiences fell in love with his northern charm and warmth on E4’s Celebrity Coach Trip where he made it to the final. Other credits include two appearances on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two) - hosting and as a guest. He has appeared on shows including Unbreakable (BBC One), co-host on Date or Drop (BBC One) alongside Amanda Holden, Would I Lie To You?, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Bridge of Lies, Celebrity Mastermind (twice!) & Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC One), The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Between The Covers & Strictly: It Takes Two (BBC Two), Live from Barry Island (BBC Wales), The Stand Up Sketch Show, Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Tipping Point: Lucky Stars (ITV) and was a regular CelebAbility (ITV2). His debut BBC Radio 4 stand-up special Stephen Bailey: One of Many was named Comedy of The Week and after performing twice on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), he was commissioned to record his own 30 minute comedy special which aired on the channel in 2019. "Fabulously funny!" - The Guardian. Simon Wozniak. Simon Wozniak has been a sought-after headline act all around the UK for the past decade and has gone on to quickly establish himself as the one to watch with his honest, inimitable, no holds barred opinions on the world, hotly-tipped by the industry as a future star. A master of the comedic crescendo, Wozniak builds routines, combining off-beat ideas and opinions with savagely honest insights into the inner workings of his mind and he has risen phenomenally through the ranks and can now be seen performing regularly at some of the biggest and best comedy clubs in the country. In 2016 he was the winner of both the Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and the World Series Panel Prize, Beat The Frog. In 2019 he was the runner-up in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year. An engaging performer who injects energy into any room he performs in, Simon is a comic who is confident with joke structure and can use his skills to present unpredictable punchlines which take the wind out of his audience! "A real star in the making." - Time Out. Peter Brush. A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion. A former BBC New Comedy Award finalist, Peter performs at clubs all over the UK and abroad. He has written for BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Show What You Wrote and Newsjack and was the support act for Alexei Sayle’s 2020 show. Peter has also been Tour Support for Jonathan Pie, Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha. Very unique and very funny! "Compellingly hilarious...first-class gag writing...an original and achingly funny voice." - Chortle. *Pleas book your tickets early to save disappointment and money (cheaper in advance), these shows are usually very busy and often sell out. Line-ups are occasionally subject to change.
